Church Lake, Lough Gowna - 19 September 2010
Match report Heavy rain meant that this match moved first from Black Island to Rossduff and from there to Church Lake. 17 anglers competed in near-perfect conditions with barely a ripple, cloud and temperatures of 15C. High water meant that almost everyone fished feeder. But Alex Radu stuck to the slider float for the entirety of the match, fishing double maggot at 35 yards and following the fish from the bottom to mid-water throughout the day. Alex put a 4.080kg bag of roach and perch to 10oz together, moving 100g clear of Colm O'Gaora who fished feeder at 55 turns. Meanwhile, junior angler Adam Conlon marked his first match with a fine 1.320 bag of mostly perch on the feeder and took the section money.
