Lough Barnagrow - 1 November 2009
Match report The conditions could hardly have been more of a contrast to those of a fortnight previously. Barngrow was millpond-still and the lake was bathed in warm November sunshine. A breeze might actually have helped as the water was gin-clear after a few midweek nights of frost and the fish were even more shyer biting than before. Colm O'Gaora targeted roach and perch on the feeder at 45 yards with 0.10mm hooklengths to 20 hook over black groundbait for 1.340 of mostly very small roach, while Eoin Schweppe picked up a better stamp of fish on feeder tactics from the next peg for 1.000 kg.
